• We enable users to track goals, problems, habits and activities related to their physical and mental health in order to become more aware of and improve their health. We do not collect health data automatically. All health data is recorded manually and voluntarily by the users and can be deleted at any time.

• Information generated through your use of our services, including details of plans, schedules, results, achievements, performance, and progress.

• Payment details are handled by our third-party payment processors. They may collect your payment information for billing and provide us with your name, email address, and billing address (Note: Holismo does not directly collect or store your payment information on our servers).

• Other third-party service providers might automatically gather certain data, such as your device model, IP address, usage patterns through cookies and browser settings, and social media details. These providers analyze this information on our behalf, aiding in the enhancement of our services.

• Our services track information that is used and shared only in an aggregate form, excluding your Personally Identifiable Information. For instance, aggregate data might encompass the overall number of visitors to our website, the frequency of visits to specific pages of our site or web app, types of browsers used, external websites linked, and IP addresses. We analyze this aggregated data to identify trends and statistics, which helps us manage the services, monitor user activity, and collect broad demographic information for combined use.

The payment information is required to be able to process your payment when you purchase a subscription to the web app and your basic contact details and financial information are required for us to comply with legal obligations.

The main purpose of storing your data is to be able to fulfill our contractual obligations and provide our services to you, to increase the value of our services for you and to provide an optimal user experience. For users in the European Union, our processing of your Personally Identifiable Information is justified on the following legal bases: (a) the processing is necessary to perform a contract with you or take steps to enter into a contract at your request; (b) he processing is in our legitimate interests, subject to your interests and fundamental rights, and notably our legitimate interest in using applicable data to conduct and develop our business activities; or (c) you have consented to the processing. We collect your data so that we can:

• Process your orders and the payment transactions, send confirmations and invoices of your purchases to your email address, manage your account, and register you to use our services.

• Understand your needs to improve and personalize our products and services, the content and general administration of the services.

Your data is stored on servers of third-party vendors in whom we trust. The data you voluntarily enter in the web app is stored on Microsoft Azure servers in Switzerland.

When you submit a contact request or fill out another form on our website (e.g. registering for the e-mail newsletter), some personal data will be stored in the database of this website or the database of our marketing service provider (GetResponse). 

We implement procedural and technological safeguards in line with industry standards, aimed at protecting your personal information from loss, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, it’s important to note that no method of transmitting or storing information on the Internet is entirely secure. Therefore, we cannot assure absolute security of the information you transmit to us or store using our services. There is also the risk that such information may be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed despite our physical, technical, and managerial protections. By using our services, you acknowledge and agree to accept these risks.

 

How long do we hold onto personal information?

Regarding the retention of personal information, in compliance with Art. 5 para. 1 lit. e of the GDPR, our policy is to store personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it is processed, adhering to the principle of storage limitation. There may be instances where we retain information for longer periods as mandated by law or legal proceedings. Additionally, we might keep your Personally Identifiable Information for extended durations in certain cases, such as to align with statutes of limitation, ensuring we have an accurate record of your interactions with us in case of any complaints or disputes.

We aim to ensure that you are completely informed about your data protection rights. You have options concerning how your Personally Identifiable Information is collected, used, and shared, and we will honor your decisions in these areas. How do we use cookies?

For the provision of the Holismo services and to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure, we also use so-called cookies for data collection and storage. The Holismo website, newsletters and other services may contain links to other websites over which Holismo does not have control. Such links do not constitute an endorsement of these external websites by Holismo. You acknowledge that Holismo is providing these links to you only as a convenience, and further agree that Holismo is not responsible for the content and offerings of such external websites. Our privacy policy applies only to our website and services, so if you click on a link to another website, you should read their privacy policy.

 

Third-party disclosure

We make use of service providers, such as the hosting provider of our website (Hostpoint), the hosting provider for the web app (Microsoft), different advertising service providers, a payment service provider (Stripe), an email marketing provider (GetResponse), a transactional email provider (Postmark), analytical service providers (Google, Microsoft, Smartlook), and App stores for distributing the Holismo app (Google and Apple).

If you choose to join our mailing list, your email address will be stored in GetResponse who provide us with email marketing services. GetResponse is a third-party data processor. Your email address will remain within GetResponse’s database for as long as we continue to use GetResponse’s services for email marketing or until you specifically request removal from the list. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter from within the newsletter you receive by using the unsubscribe link.

Transactional emails are automated emails sent to individuals following specific actions or transactions on a website or application. These emails are typically triggered by the user’s interaction with the service and are personalized to the recipient. Postmark is our provider for transactional emails.

We utilize Google Analytics, a web analytics service from Google, Inc. (“Google”). This service employs cookies to create data about your usage of our website, which is typically sent to and stored on a Google server in the U.S. We also use Google Analytics to examine AdWords data for statistical analysis. If IP anonymization is enabled on this website, Google truncates your IP address within Member States of the European Union or other signatories of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before processing.
